Unlike many flashlights, this unit folds up into something a bit bigger than a mobile phone. Unfold it, and you can position the light in nearly any direction you need thanks to the fairly sturdy built-in tripod. There are two lighting modes: an area mode, which uses four white LEDs in a square to provide illumination, or a more traditional spotlight mode where four different white LEDs on the outer edge of the flashlight provide a more focused beam of light.
A couple of interesting features about this flashlight: the TRI-L will automatically turn off when it is closed and in area lighting mode, and it charges with a standard mini-USB cable. You can also charge it with the included power adapter as well.
A quick Google search doesn't show any retailers carrying the flashlight, but you can purchase it direct from the manufacturer for $99.
