BeCrypt: OS on a Stick
Here's one for the security nuts: according to TechWorld, a Computer security company called BeCrypt has plans to launch a product called Trusted Client, which runs a secure operating system, complete with VPN access and low-level encryption, on a USB flash drive. BeCrypt, which will officially announce Trusted Client at the Infosecurity Europe show in London in late April, seems to be using a version of Linux as the basis for the OS on a stick. BeCrypt will aim the Trusted Client at companies and organizations that need remote computer access but can't afford, for security reasons, to allow their employees to carry around laptops. Given the number of computer-related security breaches that have occured at the VA in the US over the past few months, the US Government might want to give BeCrypt a call...
