If you are on the road a lot, Avaratec has a great Ultra-Portable notebook PC. The 1100 series is a diminutive 10.6" screen size system that still pumps out an impressive WXGA 1280x768 resolution. To keep costs down the CPU is an older Intel Pentium M ULV 733 unit, rather than the newer Core Solo or Core Duo CPUs. Hard drive space is abundant for such a small system with an 80GB HDD and a full 1GB of RAM. Graphics are integrated Intel Extreme Graphics 2 with 128 MB of shared memory. You can also archive or burn CDs and DVDs on the go with a built in dual layer DVD burner. Integrated Intel Pro/Wireless 2200GB and a 4-in-1 media reader round out the package. The series measures in at a mere 10.47" x 7.97" x 1.36" and weighs 3.4 pounds.
