ASRock, normally a company known as either budget or OEM manufacture for big companies has slowly, as of late, been working it's way more toward the hobbyist computer builder, and with this they might just take a big leap towards it!
The video above (if it works, fingers crossed!) shows InstantBoot, a technology allowing you to boot from the BIOS to Vista Desktop in 4 seconds flat; a significant decrease compared to normal boot time. It works through linking to Vista's advanced power management system, setting up various hibernation and suspension without the user realizing. Hopefully this will be out on some consumer boards within the next few months...
It's all very clever, and you get to see a nice man explain it and get rather excited in the video! Worth a watch!
