Apple's Commitment to Gadgets May Mean Less Love for Mac

Well you can't exactly say it comes as a surprise but Apple's newfound love of mobile gadgets and gizmos means less and less time (and R&D dollars) for it's full-sized Macintosh division.

This reality has been further confirmed as Apple has announced details of its world-wide developers conference, which have proven quite slanted toward iPhone OS, Open ES, HTML5 and the like; shifting the focus away from what used to be heavily personal computer oriented.

This, a discouraging sign to supporters who complain that Mac computers lack such personal computer staples as Blu-ray disc support, business-focus, Direct 3D-based video games, USB 3.0 and may other features that Windows boasts.

Interestingly, sales of Macintosh computers have been steadily growing right along with the iPods and iPhones and many users are hoping this latest news of Apple's lack of enthusiasm for the Macintosh brand isn't a sign of things to come.
