AOL Names 5 Gadgets to Avoid
SmartMoney.com Associate Editor Stacey Bradford has a list of gadgets to avoid up on AOL – and she's not pulling any punches. To be honest, the members of the list shouldn't be surprising to any tech head; most of them are things, like the PS3 and high-def DVD formatting wars, that we've been talking about here on the Gadgets Weblog for months. What's interesting about this list is that it's on AOL, the beginner gateway to the Web (admit it: you started there, once upon a time. It's ok, I did, too) with the power to direct floods of traffic at any article it chooses. People reading this list won't be tech heads; they'll be the average joe consumer that gadget companies need to attract to sell enough units to make a profit. Getting out the news to the masses about the problems with these gadgets just might solve those problems a little faster, once companies realize their bottom might be effect. Bravo, Stacey!
