I'm of the feeling that if you're going to spend more than $1.00 on a pen it should do some pretty cool stuff - and apparently the engineers at Hong Kong manufacturer Brando agree. They've come out with a $48 pen equipped with a 512 MB USB flash drive that can operate as an mp3 player or a voice recorder via an onboard microphone. The phone, which also features an FM radio, is powered by a lithium ion battery and comes with an earpiece that plugs into the back of the pen. The manufacturer doesn't mention is whether or not the battery is rechargable (otherwise you're shelling out money for a lithium battery every 7 hours) and it looks like you have to just guess when you're looking for a radio station - there's no screen of any sort. Still, a pretty
cool gadget
to impress the people at your next business meeting.
