Amp'd Gets A One-Week Reprieve
The word on the street is that Amp'd Mobile is still going strong-for another week at least. If you look at the Amp'd Q&A page, you'll see the "potential suspending" date is now 31 July 2007.

For those of you looking for another Carrier and want to keep your number: this will give you another week to do it. Customer Service for Amp'd is supposedly a thing of the past. Trying to click on the Customer Service link for Amp'd results in a "not found" message-the DNS for the site no longer resolves.

You can pray that a CDMA carrier will let you bring your Amp'd device with you to the new service, but I have my doubts. If anyone does manage to do it, though, please leave your experiences in the comments.
