Amazon Set To Release Larger Newspaper Killing Kindle

It seems like only a few months ago that I sold my old Kindle on eBay and bought the new one. What a minute – it was. Apparently Amazon picked up more than design tips from the Apple folks, they also learned how to update and resell. Amazon is expected to announce a new Kindle revision this week at a press event in New York.

Many are speculating that Amazon will be announce a large screen Kindle. The type of two-handed beast that is designed to handle newspapers and magazines. The current Kindle 2 will be the E-Book for paperbacks and novels, and the new Kindle will be for large print media. Well, so long newspapers, it was nice knowing you. I expect that this Kindle will most likely kill off many newspapers printers that way that iTunes has killed off the concept of CD's.

If the new Kindle can also handle textbooks well, and if there is major support from text book companies, newspaper publishers, and magazine outfits, I expect this thing will be huge. Personally, I love my Kindle 2 and read it nearly every day. I don't think I would appreciate a larger model for my personal use, but I don't read many newspapers either. Look for the press event on Wednesday, May 6th at Pace University in New York. We will cover it here.
