PC Hardware

To some, the Touch Book is going to seem like a big PDA or media player and not a computer. Those people do not understand the power of Linux, the ease lightness of the OS, and the vast selection of software available that mirrors, if not improves, the functionality of Mac OS and Windows software. Specifically, the Tablet Book will feature a TexasInstruments ARM processor, a 1024x600 8.9'' screen with an active digitizer, 8GB microSD storage, Wifi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth, and (here is the kicker) 10h to 15 hours of battery life. Yes, that is right, this baby is going to have at least a 10 hour battery life. This is due to the processor being so power-smart and the light-weight 3D Linux OS.
The Tablet Book also has a detachable keyboard unit and a fully functional tablet component. This looks and feels exactly like the old HP TX1100. Cost wise, the unit will run $299 without keyboard and $399 with the keyboard. The price seems right, the specs certainly sound interesting, and tablets simply rock. I think that Always Innovating is onto something here.
