Aiptek PocketDV AHD 300 Has High Definition for Low Cost
Sometimes the prices of things really catch me off guard. Just the other day, I bought a brand name, 8 GB flash drive for under $20. Today, you can buy a Camcorder that films in 1080p at 30 frames per second for a mere $250. That's right, the Aiptek PocketDV AHD 300 1080p camcorder will give you one hour of HD video on a standard 4GB SD card at 30fps.
The Aiptek PocketDV AHD 300 comes with a measly 128MB of internal storage, but you can bump that all the way up to 32GB with a good SDHC card. For the $250, you can also take still frame pictures at 8 mega pixels with a 4x digital zoom, and a special "web mode" for filming video formated for break.com or youtube.com. The nifty little camera recharges directly from USB and is compatible with both standard and HD televisions.
Now, you are not going to film the next great dark night film with this camcorder, but the Aiptek PocketDV AHD 300 1080p camcorder does pack a lot of nice features for very cheap. It would be great for home movies, quality presentation pieces, or youtube video that doesn't look like it was filmed on an old-school super-nintendo. It may not overwhelm, but for the price, it is certainly interesting.
