Agored - Word Processor with Bilingual Publishing
Filed in archive General Cool Stuff by tiago on November 29, 2006

The folks at the Wales University have a translation software project called Agored, which is suppose to help bilingual people from the whole world like the French and Dutch in the Belgian capital (or English and Irish Gaelic
in Ireland) to use software.
With Agored it becomes easy to open OpenOffice (freeware program, it is like the Microsoft Office junior) and change the language to what you desire, just click a button and you are ready to start using the program with your real language. In my case, I intentionally use the english OpenOffice version instead of portuguese so it doesn't make any difference.
Wales, one of the four constituent nations of the U.K., has two official languages with equal status, Welsh and English, and local government bodies and other public organizations must issue documents in both languages.
Those people need bilingual software, not Welsh software
