As someone who has 5 or 6 remote controls sitting in a box in front of my TV (and I'm pretty sure that number is below average for the average gearhead), I can appreciate the idea of a universal remote: eliminate the clutter and confusion, especially when you need to raise the volume or change a channel and find the necessary remote has departed for parts unknown again. NYKO has a Twist on the idea they introduced a few months back: the Intelligent Remote 360, a universal remote that plays nice with the Xbox 360, bringing the media center one step closer together. The Intelligent Remote also features "smart" technology that somehow learns the setup of the TV from existing remotes.
