5 Example of How CES Lies to Us
I have a confession for you: I'm a bitter man when it comes to gadgets. All of the cool things out there and I won't have the time or the money to play with more than a small fraction of them – and as I've said earlier, I don't get the whole "unboxing" thing. Of course, I'd probably be even more bitter if I was a journalist attending the annual Consumer Electronics Shows, like the one that's about to take place in Las Vegas, where companies actively demo products that may never make it to market. The people who run the SCI FI Tech blog are bitter – they've been to the CESes of yesteryear and they know all about the hype that doesn't come true. In that spirit, they've assembled a list of five really cool gadgets demoed at CES 2006 that still haven't made it to market, leaving us waiting hopefully in the dark for a little gadget light that may never come.
