Jiangsu Menglong Science and Technology (a chinese company) recognized that the market needed something special, how about a really low-end desktop computer for a really cheap price? Seems about right, and that is how the they came up the following specifications for a $203 computer - 750Mhz; 40GB; and 256MB of RAM. This setup is probably better for Linux people and older Windows versions, I can't imagine it running Vista...
The original price in the Chinese currency 1,599 yuan, is fairly cheap but don't forget this price is for the desktop computer only and you still need to buy a monitor, keyboard + mouse. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is really
The 64-bit chip went into mass production earlier this year and was touted as bringing China's microprocessor industry a step closer to leading global manufacturers in the United States and Japan.
