How does America's #1 retailer celebrate the craptastic implosion of its competitor? The sell a Blu-Ray Player for $200 and give away $100 dollars in coupons with it. This $199 nail to Circuit City's coffin comes in the form of the Insignia NS-BRDVD Blu-Ray player on sale for $199.99. This alone is a good deal if the Blu-Ray player is at all decent.
To seal the deal, Best Buy is also throwing in $100 worth of coupons good toward the in-store purchase of Blu-Ray Disks from Disney, Touchstone and Miramax. Depending how you look at things, the Insignia NS-BRDVD Blu-Ray player could be the very first player to hit below the $100 mark.
With prices at this level, black Friday is going to be a trip. Corporate desperation combined with a weak economy is going to mean lots of good gadgets under the tree.
